“My family fosters, we all do. We are a family of seven at the moment – Alastair and I, my three biological children and our two foster children. Alastair and I were both single foster carers when we met four years ago and we are just about to buy our first family home together. We love fostering as it enables us to give something back to our community, and share our skills and lifestyle with others. Seeing children develop and learn is an incredible privilege and I know that, although it can be extremely challenging, my children will be even more awesome as adults than they already are as children, because we foster.
My fitness journey began in February 2013 when I was 9 months away from my 40th birthday. I simply didn’t want to be fat and 40 and knew that if I didn’t do something then that I probably never would. I lost around 2.5 stone by September when I felt confident enough to join an exercise class. A friend recommended Bee Varga’s kettlebell classes and I haven’t ever looked back. Bee’s classes are amazing, always different, the people there are friendly and encouraging and my body is changing so much. I have developed so much and can lift more, run further and skip longer now and can even hula hoop! Bee and her fiancé Marius have welcomed me as a good friend and we now occasionally take part in workouts at their home, my biggest fitness achievement to date was very recently when I pulled, and then pushed Bee’s car up a hill! It felt amazing.
People see me now and ask me how I did it and it really is all down to hard work, commitment and consistent effort. I plateaued at the beginning of this year and needed a boost with my weight loss efforts, which is when I tried products from Forever. I did a Clean 9, our 9 day cleanse, lost 8lb and several inches and began taking sports nutrition supplements to enhance my energy levels and performance and to contribute to my weight loss efforts. I loved the range of products so much that I became an independent distributor for the company and now help other people to realise their health, weight management, fitness and personal goals. Now, with my knowledge of Forever and the products growing daily, I am able to coach other people in order for them to start their own businesses and grow and develop in the same way as I have. www.foreverforyou.flp.com
My defining moment? Probably the time around when I qualified as a teacher. I was in an unhappy marriage, with three amazing children and two foster children who deserved more from a family and a whole host of new skills and interests. My ex husband hadn’t grown as a person since we were married and didn’t offer the children or myself the love, respect or dignity we deserved. Our marriage was over and I needed to take a deep breath and raise our children on my own. I was a single foster carer with 5 children! Qualifying as a teacher made me realise that I did have the strength and ability to become the independent and capable mother that my children deserved – and I have never looked back!
Since I decided I would do better alone than in an unhappy marriage I have struggled as a single parent, worked harder than I ever have in my life and gained some self respect. I have since met and fallen in love with Alastair, who loves me and the children deeply and shows us all what a true partner, father and best friend a man can actually be. He supports every single thing I turn my mind to and we make an awesome team. We have bought several cottages in France and run a successful holiday letting business, we work tirelessly running our network marketing business, Forever For You, we continue to foster, raising all of our children to be caring, resilient and capable citizens and are just about to buy our first family home together.
Life is good.”
